  • A scratch-off ticket bought at Taylor's Stateline Truckstop on Highway 67 South in Neelyville won $50,000, as the Missouri Lottery reported Tuesday that players have already claimed over $14.2 million in prizes with the $3 game.  KFVS12

  • Some SEMO students say campus snow removal on Tuesday made getting to class unsafe due to uncleared walkways, while university officials said cleaning crews focused on main paths and maintained student safety as classes continued.  KFVS12

HEALTH NEWS

  • An 8-week-old puppy rescued from a car fire Sunday night is recovering at SEMO Pets after Cape Girardeau firefighters revived it with a donated pet oxygen mask outside a local convenience store. The pup is being treated for smoke inhalation and secondary pneumonia and is expected to make a full recovery.  KFVS12
  • Saint Francis Healthcare System is hosting a pop-up blood drive today from 7 a.m. to noon at the Wellness Conference Center Entrance 8 in partnership with the American Red Cross to address a severe blood shortage in Cape Girardeau.  Fox 23
  • Weekend winter weather forced 40 blood drives across Missouri and Arkansas to be cancelled, resulting in nearly 1,000 missed donations as local Red Cross officials urge eligible donors to travel safely when donating.  KFVS12
