- ➤ Firefighters from the Steele Fire Department contained a structure fire on Polk Street on Feb. 4 before midnight, and heavy flames did not spread despite intense conditions — no injuries were reported and local support arrived from the Cooter Volunteer Fire Department to assist those displaced.
