- ➤ Cape Girardeau Parks & Rec announced that renovations on Cape LaCroix Trail will begin Monday, March 23, on the section (from Bloomfield Road through Shawnee Park Sports Complex) to expand the trail from 8 to 12 feet and include an overlay. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Mercy Southeast launches Varsity Volunteers, a summer program giving high school students hands-on experience at Mercy Hospital Southeast. Orientation is the week of May 25 with volunteer hours running from June to late July + students aged 14 or older must apply by May 1 and complete 40-48 hours. Fox 23
