- ➤ The Cape Girardeau Noon Lions Club will host its 88th annual Pancake Day on Wednesday, March 18 at A.C. Brase Arena from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets cost $10 and include a free ticket with a used eyeglasses donation, continuing a longstanding local tradition. Fox 23

- ➤ Executive Property Management surpassed 1,000 residential units after 16 years in business and will celebrate today with a luncheon, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1200 North Cape Rock Drive. - ➤ SEMO professor Dr. Scott Brandhorst is honored with the OVC Commitment to Student Success Award for his student-centered teaching and mentorship at the university. He has worked at SEMO for over 15 years and directs the Jane Stephens Honors Program. KFVS12
- ➤ Bruce Miller, a senior at Cape Central (local high school), earned an appointment to the Naval Academy in Annapolis. He completed a rigorous process of academic, leadership, and fitness evaluations and now plans to explore service paths in his military career. Fox 23

- ➤ Residents can register from March 16 to April 16 to remove invasive Callery pear trees and get a free native tree. Tree pickup events will be held April 21 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Conservation Nature Center + Mineral Area College or Southeast Missouri State University campus in Sikeston. Fox 23
