Southeast Missouri State University will host Future Teacher Day on April 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its Cape Girardeau campus to offer high school students hands-on activities, campus tours and sessions with faculty (including admissions and financial aid information) to explore teaching careers.

District officials urge voters to review Proposition K.I.D.S.—which proposes a $0.41 tax increase to raise $52.5 million for rebuilding Perryville High School after last spring’s tornado—ahead of the April 7 election; voters will also choose board members on election day.
