ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A Southeastern Missouri fire chief was killed while trying to help a stranded driver during severe weather Wednesday night between Advance and Delta, with Cape Girardeau County Coroner Craig Williams identifying him as Garry Moore (68). Fox 23
- ➤ On April 2, the National Weather Service confirmed an EF1 tornado in Cape Girardeau that traveled 8.33 miles—reaching peak winds of 100 mph and causing tree and minor structural damage to homes, apartments and businesses before crossing the Mississippi River with no injuries reported. KFVS12

- ➤ Encore Pizza is closed indefinitely after sustaining severe weather damage last night—repair work is underway and management will update customers on the reopening timeline while expressing sympathy for those impacted by the storm. Fox 23
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Crews are working today to restore power for about 300 customers without electricity—issues include a downed transmission line on Legey Lane, broken poles near County Park Road and Concord Avenue, and damaged poles behind Planet Fitness. Repair work will continue for several hours while residents are advised to prepare for additional delays due to incoming weather. Fox 23
- ➤ The Public Works department will collect storm-damaged limbs until April 14 to clear debris after recent storms. Residents may bring limbs to the curb for pickup as crews work to clear damage. Fox 23
