- ➤ An organization in Cape Girardeau hosted an open house on April 10 for a newly renovated home on South Ellis Street. PORCH Executive Director Tameka Randle said the remodel — part of a plan to refresh South Cape Girardeau — was celebrated at a ribbon-cutting attended by the Chamber of Commerce. KFVS12
- ➤ South Side Farms is a community garden that gives vegetables to families in need and lost its hoop house last week when a tornado hit — Executive Director Maurice Theriot said they are raising $15,000 to rebuild it so they can grow produce year-round. KFVS12

- ➤ A heavy flood caused a sewer main break near the dry docks in downtown Cape Girardeau and repairs were delayed for four days—completed Thursday afternoon.
