  • The second annual Craft Show for a Cure will be held at AC Brase Arena on Saturday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, April 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Cape Girardeau. The event will feature over 60 vendors, auctions, raffles, food stands and kid activities—proceeds will be donated to the Siteman Cancer Center for Leiomyosarcoma research.  KFVS12
  • Yesterday, the inaugural SEMO 420 Festival was held at Hunter Valley Winery to raise money for Jackson Community Garden which grows and donates its own vegetables — organizer Erick Englehart said he will host another festival in the fall.  KFVS12

  • On Saturday, April 19, protesters gathered at Capaha Park’s Freedom Corner in Cape Girardeau for a 'No Kings' protest that urged protection of democracy and the U.S. Constitution. The event, organized by SEMO Protect Democracy, brought together participants from different political views who stressed the need for proper checks on government power.  Fox 23
