- ➤ Following the tornado on May 16th, the American Red Cross is providing help to Sikeston residents by assessing damage and offering mobile feeding and emergency supplies at Old Bethel Baptist Church—nearly 170 responders from 32 states are working with local partners and government to support recovery efforts. - ➤ VFW Auxiliary members will sell Buddy Poppies at eight Cape Girardeau stores on Friday and Saturday to support the Veterans Relief Fund. A Joint Veterans Council Memorial Day program is set for 11 a.m. on May 26 at the Osage Centre — a special veterans’ lunch will follow at VFW Post 3838. KFVS12

- ➤ Cape Girardeau Police said on May 21 that Richard Kinkin (56) was charged with harassment and trespass after he was asked to leave West Park Mall and returned to threaten employees, leading to his arrest. KFVS12

- ➤ SEMO Industrial Park in Scott City earned Missouri Certified Site status as it meets state standards for development—this 380-acre site has already secured an Amazon commitment for a 61,000-square-foot facility that will create 70 new jobs with infrastructure set to finish by August. Fox 23
- ➤ Missouri drivers now pay 34 cents less per gallon for regular unleaded fuel compared to last year, with the average price at $2.87 per gallon, $2.98 in Columbia and $2.78 in Joplin+declining crude oil and ample gasoline supply are helping keep prices low. Fox 23
