The Cape Girardeau Police Department will host the 'Paw-some Pet Wash' fundraiser on June 22 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Mississippi Mutts — officers will wash dogs to raise funds for the Missouri Police Canine Association Training Conference later this year.

Southeast Missouri State University's Law Enforcement Academy will get a $1.5 million renovation funded partly by a U.S. Department of Justice grant; the project will add 3,000 square feet of training space + simulation areas and a defensive tactics area to improve training.

KYTC will reopen KY 1129 between KY 94 and KY 239 in Fulton County tomorrow after completing three new bridges—Sampson Branch Bridge, Brush Creek Bridge and Sublett Creek Bridge that span mile points 7.47 to 7.917.

Crews will also reduce Route N to one lane with an 11 foot width restriction from Route 51 to Route 25 in Bollinger and Cape Girardeau counties from Monday June 16 to Friday Aug. 29 from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
