- ➤ On Sunday, June 8, police responded to screams on South Spring Street after a woman was stabbed multiple times, burned by hot grease, and had her cell phone and keys taken by her long-time acquaintance Sanna-Azzariya K. McAfee—who now faces assault and armed charges as officers review Flock footage in Ferguson for leads. KFVS12
- ➤ Teresa Baumgartner pleaded guilty to crimes linked to the 2022 murder of Jessie Wilfong and was sentenced on June 10 to 15 years for first-degree kidnapping plus 4 years for tampering with physical evidence, and she will serve nearly two decades in prison. KFVS12

- ➤ The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri and Afrocentric Arts LLC will host a Juneteenth art exhibition called Reflections at Scout Hall in Cape Girardeau from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on June 19.
