ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Cape Girardeau firefighters responded just before 8 p.m. Saturday to a fire at Yummy Buffet on the 3200 block of William Street after employees smelled smoke and saw flames; all customers and staff evacuated safely and the building will remain closed until inspectors confirm it is safe following damage likely caused by discarded tobacco smoking materials.  KFVS12

CULTURE NEWS

  • Old Town Cape is accepting applications from sculpture artists for its Downtown Sculpture Exhibition — six large sculptures will be displayed across downtown and winners will be honored on September 5 at Tunes at Twilight and First Friday with the Arts.  KFVS12
