GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Voters in Cape Girardeau will decide on August 5 whether to raise the water and sewer rate cap from 5% to 15% to fund needed upgrades for the water treatment system—this change may boost bills by about $4.71 per month for an average household. The extra funds, following a recent $9 million improvement, will support further expansion of the Cape Rock Water Treatment Plant as the city grows. Fox 23
