- ➤ Julius Gant, a convicted felon, was arrested on July 8 after allegedly threatening his domestic partner and brandishing a shotgun—wrapped in camouflage duct tape—in Cape Girardeau; he now faces charges including domestic assault, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon while intoxicated. - ➤ A man identified as Reed was removed from a local hotel after he allegedly threatened staff and displayed a large sword in a menacing way on Saturday at 2:45 p.m.—police said he refused to leave when told he was not allowed on the property. Fox 23
- ➤ Cape Girardeau police responded to a stabbing on July 11th at 6:51 p.m.—two men were injured, one was rushed to a hospital, and suspect Lance Johnson was arrested after a bloody steak knife was found in a residence. Fox 23
