ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Firefighters responded to a structure fire in Kennett on Sept. 20 that left two adults hospitalized while three children were treated and released — a family dog was rescued and cared for as crews investigated the cause. Fox 23
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ SEMO announced that phase two upgrades for Houck Stadium will add a multi-level building—housing football offices, locker rooms, a sports medicine facility and event spaces. The project will open bids in January 2026 and is expected to take about two years, boosting campus life and local businesses. Fox 23
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe signed an executive order Tuesday, September 23rd—declaring a drought alert for 85 counties and St. Louis until December 1—that lets state agencies direct resources to help those affected by the dry conditions. Rainfall is expected later this week as officials monitor the drought, and residents are urged to report local conditions. KFVS12
