- ➤ Yesterday, the Southeast Missouri Food Bank held its annual Empty Bowls fundraiser in Jackson — the event ran from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 4536 E. Jackson Blvd where for a $15 donation, guests received warm soup and a handcrafted bowl to support hunger relief. Riverside Pottery Studio hosted an evening session from 5 to 8 p.m. with a $20 donation for those who could not attend the lunch event. Fox 23
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A KYTC contractor will begin a daytime lane restriction on Interstate 24 at the Tennessee River Bridge at mile point 29.352 on Sunday, Nov. 9, cutting traffic to one lane as crews work eastbound in the morning and switch to westbound later for about two weeks, weather permitting. Missouri DOT will close Route T in Stoddard County on Wednesday, Nov. 12 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.—crews will replace a culvert between County Roads 297 and 295 near Puxico. Fox 23
