- ➤ Seniors and Law Enforcement Together will hold its annual Christmas Party on December 4 from 2 to 4 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles at 321 N. Spring Street. Local seniors will enjoy seasonal treats, door prizes, a Santa visit, and festive music by Joy Brooker and the Alma Schrader Choir — law enforcement members will also join to support the celebration. BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Local bakeries are working long hours to fill holiday orders and update their menus using trends from last year. Cheesecake Ninja and Sweet Celebrations will relax this weekend before beginning Christmas orders — the extra work shows the high demand for festive treats. KFVS12

- ➤ Two upcoming concerts at Bedell Performance Hall at SEMO River Campus will feature the Southeast Symphony Orchestra and New York’s Frisson Ensemble — with shows on December 2 at 7:30 p.m. and December 7 at 3 p.m. — while tickets cost between $26 and $30 with discounts for students, seniors, and military.
