- ➤ SEMO Pets will host a Taylor Swift-themed event on Saturday, Dec. 13 (10 a.m.–2 p.m.) to celebrate her birthday and benefit shelter cats. A devoted Swiftie will sponsor the first 13 adoptions, and adoptions drop to $13 afterward. KFVS12
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Cape Girardeau Nature Center hosted a Christmas workshop on Saturday where kids created nature-themed ornaments to decorate trees at the center and in their homes. The event offered local families a fun way to connect with art and nature. KFVS12
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Hundreds ran in the Mary Mingle 5K Saturday morning, starting at Mary Jane Bourbon + Smokehouse and finishing at the intersection of Themis and Spanish Streets; funds raised will benefit the Community Counseling Center. KFVS12
