- ➤ Saint Francis Healthcare System will host its seventh annual outdoor Live Nativity on December 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Cancer Institute Entrance 6—volunteers will portray biblical figures with live animals such as cows, camels, four-horn sheep, and a donkey—and parking is available nearby. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Former SEMO professor Dr. Linda Heitman created a national online program on organ donation training that has reached over 5,000 nursing students. The program—funded by Mid-America Transplant and launched as a pilot in spring—includes five modules with quizzes, videos, interviews and discussion forums to prepare future nurses for their role in the donation process. - ➤ Missouri officials urged horse owners to quarantine and monitor their animals if they attended an event in Waco from November 5–9 or a barrel racing event in Guthrie, where Equine Herpes cases were found. They advised working with a veterinarian to check for signs of illness—no cases have been reported in Missouri. Fox 23

River Valley Craft Club – 50th Annual Craft Fair – Multiple Crafters and Vendors with lots of handmade crafts and unique items, Santa will be joining us both days so bring your children to get a picture with Santa. Saturday and Sunday, November 22-23 at the A C Brase Arena Building, 410 Kiwanis Drive, Cape Girardeau, MO, event times are Saturday 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday 10 am to 4 pm.
