If you're eyeing a bachelor's degree, there's a new route. Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) and Mineral Area College (MAC) announced a partnership on Friday, Oct. 30, and students who start at MAC will take MAC-coordinated classes on SEMO's campus while they finish an associate degree.
- Housing: eligible for SEMO residence halls
- Guarantee: Associate of Arts transfer, under a formal articulation agreement
- Support: expected for students who need academic help
SEMO President Brad Hodson said the partnership gives MAC students a chance to connect with the university early. MAC President Joe Gilgour said it builds on the schools' existing relationship, and KRCU reports the two presidents signed the agreement early Friday afternoon.
“We're honored to welcome MAC students to SEMO and provide an opportunity for them to make campus their home from the beginning of their college journey.”
Brad Hodson, SEMO president
